bla bla bla

Well a whole lotta good this stupid blog is going to do me if I never use it.  I just hate blogs that sit there, and I'm one of them...

... Like most people though.

I shouldn't hold myself up to such high standards.

I'm in my house in New Hampshire.  It's pretty cold outside, a real arctic freeze these last few days with temperatures getting down to (neg)--10  and  --(neg) teens with windchill.  You have to be wary of frozen pipes when it gets this cold.  That's bad.

I haven't been outside much.   I just stay in.  My job hasn't started yet, so nothing to do, ...
I got the "Iron Gym"-total upper-body work out bar.  It's that thing on TV for doing pull-ups in the doorway of your home.   I've always been fascinated by it.  They had it at Kohl's.  I've assembled it.  But "fits all standard size doorways"  doesn't mean our thick, chunky, hundred-year-old wood trim.  So I'll have to get creative, and I ordered an additional bracket accessory thing, in case that helps.

My dad mailed my guitars to me.  That was nice.  They came in a huge box today, floating in styrofoam peanuts.  I bought new strings and re-stringed one, and tuned them both... though one of them doesn't want to stay in tune...

Hello!  So sorry for the negativity of that last post.  I'm back now and everything is fine.

Salvador and I spent two days in New York when I arrived there (thanks mom) and we saw Hairspray (again for me).  We saw the understudy for the main character; she wasn't as good as the regular one, but the show was still great.

The star wasn't there because evidently she got in a fight on an airplane and is in a jail in Aruba or something.

Now I'm back in New Hampshire, which is still New Hampshire, but the house is pretty.  We just picked up my dad at the airport yesterday, so now we're getting ready for a week of projects and work and the like.

In the airport

I'm never travelling again. I'm so angry. I had to check three large bags. You accumulate a lot of shit over 10 months. I had to pay $233 to check the third one. You only get two checked bags for free. Then the third bag was way over the weight limit (limit is 23 kg) Mine was 34kg, it was a backbreaker. So I had to pay another $155 for over weight penalty, total $388 to check a bag.

That's not all, it was over normal checked bag limit that you could pay extra for, but it was over the legal limit. You CANNOT check a bag over 32 kg, period. SO I had to open up my bag and take stuff out, 2 kg worth so I could get down to 32kg. But of course I still had to pay the overweight fee for being over 23kg.

I just started handing the man behind the counter stuff from my bag and told him to throw it away. I had him throw away an elctrical converter, toothpaste, a large book (writers market), like whatever. It's not like I was ever going to use it, it's not like I've even gone so far as to read a book in years. Well, you're supposed to renew those things anyway. I'm sure I'm going to be working at another goddamn box store in new f---ing hanshire being talked down to and making no money until I have my next nervous breakdown and decide to come to spain again, which I don't even like, burn in hell everyone and everything.

I barely made the weight limit, at 32.9kg he let me slide.

And then security was torture. I kept yelling at her in english and spanish that it was a film camera, with film, and that I didn´t want to put it in the xray, I wanted a hand-check. SHe was like "no pasa nada, no pasa nada" ...probably thought I was some crazy american. She made me put it though the x-ray and assured me it was fine, like she knows a god damn thing. I GET IT! I'M THROWING AWAY THE OLD FILM CAMERA. ONLY DIGITAL; YES; FINE; OK; YOU WIN

America wouldve given you the option of a handcheck for film, but whatever. THANK GOD I did some doctor shopping, and got a prescription for some benzodiazapines. I got some adivan, which takes too long to work, and then make you a little stupid for 12 hours later. Like, trying to stand on one foot to put on a sock and you fall. Or when the waiter brings you the check that says 8 dollars, and I gave him two ten's. Thank god he was honest...

But then I got this prescription for another one called bromazepam, which I googled and found out they don't even have it in the US. It's super fun, I'm feeling ok now.

But I still hope my plane crashes.
